I 1981 tok det slutt for en periode, inntil en ny festival ble arrangert i 1992. Den ble fulgt av nye fors\u00f8k under navnet&nbsp;<em>Roserock-festivalen<\/em>, inntil man s\u00e5 gikk tilbake til navnet Hortensfestivalen. Den f\u00f8rste runden med Hortensfestivaler fikk en legendarisk status, og ikke minst er det mange som minnes 1978 da selveste Bob Marley spilte i&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lokalhistoriewiki.no\/wiki\/Horten\">Horten<\/a>. Ble startet av lokale band som ville ha en st\u00f8rre scene for byens mange upcoming band samt \u00f8nske om \u00e5 f\u00e5 bes\u00f8k av st\u00f8rre artister.
